Portugal has great waves for beginner, advanced and expert surfers.
We give Beginner surf courses and Advanced surf courses. Many of our learners come back to Portugal to make progress and book an Advanced course.
On the booking sheet simply indicate your level of surfing and which course you would like to follow. Surf lessons are always included in the surfing safari, surf camp and surf hotel packages.
Surf sun and beautiful beaches. In the very South Western corner of Portugal its all there year round. Days without surf and sun are a rarity at this end of Europe.
Down here in Portugal we run our legendary Surfing Safari. This real surfing safari starts in the North in the cultural city of Porto, home to the Port wine. The Surfing Safari finishes six days and 850 coastal kilometers later down South at our Surf Camp. With this old school trip we combine surfing and camping. A great way to explore a new country and its surf potential. Many have traveled this path before, many came back for more.
The Algarve based Surf Camp is tucked away in our private valley surrounded by Cork Oaks and Eucalypt trees. A large variety of the surrounding beaches is host to the consistent swells that frequent this part of Europe. The camp is a peaceful place with nature and wild life at your doorstep

Experienced Surfers with limited holiday time. It always takes a while to learn how local breaks in new places work best with the tides, wind and swell directions and swell sizes. Save yourself from driving around in a rental car burning petrol in finding a good breaking beach. Use our local knowledge and take maximum profit of your precious vacation time.
Beginners and zero experience surfers. Never surfed before but always wanted to learn? Our surfing methods get you on the board safely, surely and quickly. Always with the right equipment in safe and controlled conditions. Save yourself a long learning curve and the unlearning of bad habits. Learn to judge beaches, waves and currents.
Wave surfing conditions are dependent on many factors like sun, moon, wind and currents. All factors change with natures cycle and will. We'll make sure that we offer you the best possible conditions during your surf trip, considering the weather conditions and your level of surfing. We know the coastline well and get you to the best working breaks. To this end a fixed itinerary cannot be given in advance, apart from the dates and places of departure and the end of the trip. A truly surf action packed outdoors adventure.
We aim to let our guests experience the true spirit of wave surfing. Key-ingredients to experience this are: finding good waves, on uncrowded beaches and riding them in good company.

Atlantic Riders offers fully catered surf adventures for beginning and more experienced surfers, join us for a surf safari or come to our surf camp. Our surf safari starts in Porto and finishes some 850 coastal kilometers South at our surf camp in the Algarve, ensuring you will meet a large variety of surf spots, good waves and beaches. You can choose from a 6 or 12 day surf safari, always leaving on Monday mornings from Porto and finishing in Lagos. The difference in the trips is the time span, twelve days simply give you more surf breaks and more time to enjoy a good swell on a special surf break. Both trips are all included.
